After electing to field first, Bahrain's bowlers, led by a stellar performance from Imran Anwar, dismantled Tanzania's batting lineup, restricting them to a modest total of 139. Bahrain chased down the target with ease, thanks to a composed innings from Sohail Ahmed and Muhammad Basil. Tanzania's innings got off to a disastrous start as they lost wickets in quick succession. Imran Anwar was the chief destroyer, finishing with figures of 4/22 in 8 overs. He removed key batsmen early, including Ivan Selemani (13) and captain Kassim Nassoro (2), leaving Tanzania reeling at 26/5. Rizwan Butt (3/44) and Abdul Majid (2/24) also contributed with crucial breakthroughs.
