Mark Ruffalo, Role Model Join Natalie Portman for ‘Good Sex' Rom-Com
Mark Ruffalo and Role Model, the stage name of singer-songwriter Tucker Pillsbury, will star opposite Natalie Portman in Good Sex, a romantic comedy that Lena Dunham is directing for Netflix.
Dunham, who tackled relationships and sex with HBO's Girls, wrote the script and is also producing with her Good Thing Going Productions partner Michael Cohen. Portman and Sophie Mas are producing their banner, MountainA.

Good Sex centers on a pragmatic couples' therapist named Ally (Portman), who after spending a decade in a failed relationship and now turning 40, reluctantly dips her toe back into the New York dating scene. But, per Netflix's logline, Ally gets more than she bargained for when she meets two men, one in his twenties and one in his fifties, who show her there is no set formula for good sex.

Ruffalo was last seen on the big-screen with Mickey 17, Bong Joon Ho's sci-fi movie that opened earlier this year. He next stars in Task, an HBO crime drama that will debut in September. Ruffalo is repped by UTA, Lighthouse Management, and
Good Sex will serve as the acting debut for Role Model, the rising 27-year-old artist who serves up pared down pop songs and released his latest album, Kansas Anymore, in July 2024 to wide critical acclaim. The artist, who recently left music management firm Best Friends Music Management, is repped by Paradigm, Wasserman Music, and Myman Greenspan.
