Mercedes-Benz is set to launch a new, India-inspired limited edition of the AMG G63 on June 12, designed by Indian teams at Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development . It is featuring customized upholstery, unique trim elements, and potentially exclusive color options, while maintaining the standard G63's performance specifications and features. This marks the first time Mercedes-Benz has created an exclusive model for the Indian market. The upcoming limited edition model is inspired by India. The virtual invite sent out teased a glimpse of the upcoming SUV. This special edition has been designed by the Indian teams at Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development. This collaboration signifies a unique approach to tailoring a vehicle specifically for the Indian market. The AMG G63 Collectors Edition is expected to retain the mechanical specifications of the standard G63. The G-Wagon AMG G63 is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech. The vehicle boasts a comprehensive suite of features. In terms of features, it is packed to the gills with features such as the advanced MBUX infotainment system with voice control, three-zone climate control, automatic LED headlamps, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and keyless entry to name a few. The G-Wagon holds a special place in Mercedes-Benz's lineup. The G-Wagon holds the same significance to Mercedes-Benz as the Defender does to Land Rover.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 will be available in a new India-inspired collectors edition, the launch of which is slated for June 12. This version of the SUV intends to celebrate the 'cult status' that it has gained in the country. The SUV will not get any changes on the mechanical front as we expect it to be powered by the same 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech found in the standard G 63. This mill churns out 585bhp and 850Nm, while the mild-hybrid system gives an additional boost of 22bhp. Paired to this engine is a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and the 4Matic system that delivers power to all four wheels.
