Pakistan retaliates to Indian attack with dozens of drones across India-run Kashmir

According to Indian defense sources and media outlets, the Pakistani drone offensive focused on at least three air bases and seven military posts, prompting widespread blackouts and a heightened military alert across several northern Indian states.
The Pakistani military's official spokesperson issued a strongly worded statement, asserting that Pakistan's response would not be subtle nor unnoticed, adding:
'When we respond to India, it will not be through Indian media—it will shake the world.
You attacked us at a time and place of your choosing. What was the result? Who shot down your planes?'
Indian news agency ANI reported that eight missiles were launched by Pakistan toward the Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia sectors, all of which were intercepted by Indian air defense units. Also Read India: 13 civilians, 1 soldier killed by Pakistan fire
Meanwhile, Pakistani drones were intercepted in Jaisalmer and Jammu, though visuals shared on social media showed bright flashes and audible explosions over key urban centers.

As a security precaution, complete blackouts were enforced in several areas, including Jammu, Bikaner (Rajasthan), and Jalandhar (Punjab). Reports suggest that Pakistan used loitering munitions in some sectors, prompting return fire from Indian air defense systems, particularly over Jammu.
