Lucknow: Three days after it was rolled out by chief minister

, the Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan 2025 has seen the participation of nearly 2.5 lakh farmers. The centrally driven scheme aims to increase productivity in agriculture as well as the income of farmers.
It has set a target to reach out to 50 lakh farmers of the state with new research technology by agricultural scientists and govt beneficial schemes being run for farmers by agricultural officers, realising the slogan of 'Lab to Land'.
In comparison to the campaign target of connecting 1.5 crore farmers nationally, a target has been set to connect 50 lakh farmers through 10,125 programmes in 75 districts of UP. A state govt spokesperson said that farmer-scientist dialogues will be organised at 135 places per district until June 12.
Agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi participated in village Amkaul of Sardarnagar development block of Gorakhpur on Saturday. Farmers were briefed by local public representatives, agriculture department officials and agricultural scientists. Union minister and Pilibhit MP Jitin Prasada attended the programme in village Sundarpur development block Marori and village Daulatpur Patti development block in Barkheda (Pilibhit).

Union minister and Mirzapur MP, Anupriya Patel was present in village Kodiyara (Deoria). Scientists of Indian Vegetable Research Institute, Varanasi, KVK, Mirzapur, and officials of agriculture-allied department participated in the farmer-scientist dialogue and discussed new technology of agriculture. State minister of agriculture, Baldev Singh Aulakh encouraged the farmers by attending the Kisan Vaigyanik Samvad in village Padpuri of Rampur.
Public representatives, agricultural scientists and officials of agriculture and allied departments held discussions with the farmers in 75 districts of the state on topics like horticulture, plant protection, direct sowing of paddy, sowing of crops after seed purification, benefits of soil testing and low-cost farming, use of fertilisers in balanced quantities, industrial crops, fodder production, prevention of animal diseases, horticultural farming, crop insurance, silk rearing, beekeeping, organic and natural farming, land conservation techniques, benefits of tree plantation, goat rearing, revival of old horticulture plants, food processing, marketing, etc.
