Show Caption
Time is running out to view "Sinners" as the director intended.
Only eight theaters in the United States have the capacity to show the film in 70mm, which provides for greater detail, color and depth than most other modern movies. One of those theaters is at the Indiana State Museum.
The supernatural horror film starring Michael B. Jordan was directed by Ryan Coogler and shot with IMAX film cameras, which are reported to be the highest-resolution cameras available and create a unique movie-going experience.
The movie's April 18 opening marked the best start for an original film since Jordan Peele's "Us" opened with $71 million in 2019. It topped the box office in its second week, with $45 million, a mere 6% drop from opening weekend, and has a 98% positive review rating by more than 300 critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and an average grade of "A" on CinemaScore.
