Northwestern Ontario wildfires force First Nation to evacuated to Simcoe County
Barrie is preparing to host 400 evacuees from Webequie First Nation due to worsening wildfires, with supports coordinated by an Indigenous emergency response centre. The city says it can accommodate up to 3,000 evacuees if needed.
