Over 16,000 homes approved for RR under Indiramma scheme

Rangareddy: Urging officials to ensure the timely construction of Indiramma Houses approved in their operational areas, Rangareddy District Collector C Narayana Reddy stated that over 16,000 houses have been sanctioned so far in the district. The district administration, he added, is committed to benefiting all eligible people under the scheme, and accordingly, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the timely disposal of applications. Addressing a recent video conference with officials on the implementation of the Indiramma Housing and Rajiv Vikasam Schemes at the Collectorate, the Collector instructed that the groundwork for sanctioned houses should commence immediately and be completed within a time-bound manner. 'The scheme should be implemented properly. There should be a supervision committee in every mandal, and prices of materials such as sand, bricks, and crusher stones, besides mason charges, should be decided,' said the Collector. Elaborating on the number of beneficiaries selected under the Indiramma Housing scheme in the district, the Collector said, 'A total of 16,617 houses were sanctioned to eligible individuals in the district. However, 839 applications are still pending disposal, which will be cleared after scrutiny.' As sand is being provided free of cost for the construction of Indiramma Houses, the Collector reiterated that it should be made available to all beneficiaries. Additionally, the Collector requested that the list of beneficiaries selected under the Rajiv Vikasam scheme be sent to the Collector's login. He stated that beneficiaries under the scheme should be granted at least Rs 1 lakh, to be released in June. Project Director DRDA Rangareddy Srilatha, along with BC and Minority Welfare officers and other senior officials, participated in this video conference.

Speaking at a recent video conference at the Collectorate concerning the implementation of the Indiramma house and Rajiv Vikasam Schemes, the Collector stated that the district administration is committed to benefiting all eligible individuals under the schemes. Consequently, all requisite measures are being implemented to ensure the prompt processing of applications. Mr Reddy instructed that grounding works for the sanctioned homes should commence immediately, ensuring their completion within a stipulated timeframe. The Collector further emphasised that the Indiramma scheme must be implemented effectively. He called for the establishment of a supervision committee in every mandal and directed that prices for materials such as sand, bricks, and crushed stone, alongside mason charges, should be determined. Elaborating on the number of beneficiaries selected under the Indiramma Housing scheme, the Collector confirmed that a total of 16,617 homes have been sanctioned for eligible individuals in the district. He noted that 839 applications remain pending for disposal, which will be cleared following scrutiny. As sand is being supplied free of charge for Indiramma Housing construction, the Collector stressed its availability for all beneficiaries. Regarding the Rajiv Vikasam scheme, Mr Reddy requested that the list of selected beneficiaries be submitted to his login. He stated that beneficiaries under this scheme should receive at least RS 1 lakh, to be disbursed in June. The video conference was attended by Project Director DRDA Rangareddy Srilatha, BC and Minority Welfare officers, among other senior officials.

Khammam: Deputy Chief Minister M Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday along with ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy; MP R Raghuram Reddy; MLAs; public representatives; and District Collectors of the joint Khammam district reviewed various government schemes' implementation in the district. This included Indiramma Housing, Bhu Bharathi, paddy purchase, monsoon health action plan, and advance cultivation of the Agriculture Department. Addressing the meeting, Bhatti ordered police to take strict action against those selling fake seeds. 'The investment of lakhs of rupees and hard work of farmers will be wasted due to fake seeds,' he said. He urged officials to take necessary cooperation should from Andhra Pradesh and curb fake seeds. The Dy CM lauded record level of grain purchase in the joint Khammam district and completion of payments to farmers. He said that steps should be taken to resolve the land problems of the people with the Bhu Bharati Act. He said that awareness programmes have been organised in mandals to educate people about the Act. During the meeting, the minister urged officials to host State Formation Day celebrations on a grand note. 'Along with national flag hoisting in the morning, celebrations and cultural programmes should be organised at the Assembly constituency headquarters in the evening,' said Bhatti. Meanwhile, Komatireddy said that in the wake of early arrival of monsoon, fertilisers and seeds required for cultivation of the season should be kept ready.

Hyderabad, May 27 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held a high-level video conference with ministers, top officials, and all district collectors from the Command Control Centre on Tuesday evening to review key government initiatives, including grain procurement, Indiramma Indlu, Bhu Bharati, and monsoon preparedness. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Damodar Rajanarasimha were present alongside Chief Secretary A Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials. The Chief Minister announced that Telangana has recorded its highest-ever grain procurement of 64.5 lakh metric tons, with 90 per cent of the crop already procured. He congratulated the collectors and officials for this achievement, noting that Rs 12,184 crore has been transferred to farmers' accounts within 48 hours of procurement—a record turnaround time. However, he flagged challenges due to the early arrival of monsoon, 15 days ahead of schedule, and urged officials to complete the remaining procurement swiftly, using local godowns if needed. He also called for strict action against millers or brokers harassing farmers, and urged Collectors to regularly update the public on procurement status to counter misinformation and politically motivated narratives. With 29 per cent more rainfall expected this monsoon, the CM directed Agriculture Department officials to ensure readiness, including availability of seeds and fertilisers, and alertness against fake seed sellers, warning of PD Act action against violators. On the Bhu Bharati initiative, he emphasised that it should be a 'gift to poor farmers' and asked officials to organise awareness seminars and bring the new land legislation closer to the public. The third phase of revenue conferences will be held from June 3 to 20. Discussing the Indiramma Housing scheme, the CM said district Collectors must play a key role in effective implementation, including ensuring timely distribution of free sand coupons, loans for brick and centring units, and use of modern technology. He instructed officials to form price control committees at the mandal level to monitor mason and crusher prices. Ministers in charge of each district will visit their respective regions on May 29 and 30, and submit a full report by June 1. Hyderabad: The Indiramma Housing beneficiaries were elated with the assistance provided by the State government for making their dream come true and said they had never dreamt of owning a house. Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy interacted with the beneficiaries through a video conference for an hour and a half from his office in the Secretariat on Sunday. 'I never dreamed that I could get an Indiramma's house. We have been living in huts and thatched sheds for 10-15 years. After the Congress came to power we got a Indiramma house. We laid a slab. They gave us Rs 4 lakh. We will complete the house work in a few days. You should come with CM Revanth Reddy Sir for our housewarming function, Sir. If you come, we will make jowar rotis; we will also offer you a sumptuous meal. Revanth Reddy Sir will also give us rice that all of you eat. With that rice we will serve food,' said a beneficiary. A beneficiary from Khammam district, Uma, said she got Indiramma house and she was very happy. She said Rs 2 lakh was given for the basement and walls so far. 'We have also laid the slab. Revanth Reddy Sir has fulfilled our wish of having our own house,' she said. Lakshmi from Nagireddypalli village in Bommaraspet mandal in Kodangal said, 'we were facing a lot of trouble without a house. Revanth Reddy Sir has given us a house. You are sending us money and even today we received Rs 2 lakh for the slab. Sir, you should take Revanth Reddy Sir and come for the housewarming ceremony. I will pay for the journey and cook food with the rice given by the CM Sir. You should definitely come, Sir,' she said. Accepting the invitations, the minister said the construction work of Indiramma houses, which was undertaken with great pride with the aim of realising the dream of owning a house for the poor, was progressing vigorously and housewarming functions will be held soon. He said Rs 14.44 crore was released from May 19; 47,335 houses have been sanctioned under the pilot project of the Indiramma Housing Scheme;7,824 houses have been completed up to basement, 895 houses have completed construction of walls; 64 completed up to slab. The minister said despite difficulties faced by the government due to financial devastation caused by the previous government, as per promise made to the poor, 'we will release funds to the beneficiaries every Monday, even if they are mortgaged. We will deposit funds directly into the bank accounts of the Indiramma beneficiaries without waiting for a single day. So far Rs 56.82 crore was released for 5,682 houses whose basements have been completed, Rs. 2 lakh for 497 houses with walls completed, Rs. 9.94 crore for 33 houses whose slabs have been completed. He said till now, Rs. 68.08 crore has been released for Indiramma houses.
