European Union seeks defence pact with Australia

ANU defence and national security expert associate Jennifer Parker discusses the European Union's move this week to propose stronger defence and strategic ties with Australia. 'I think it is in our interest, broadly, to have a defence and security relationship with the European Commission,' Ms Parker told Sky News Australia. 'We have been increasing our defence and security relationship with Europe over the previous years … we have been attending the NATO meeting as part of the Indo-Pacific Four.'
