While TreesaGayatri drubbed Polina Buhrova and Yevheniia Kantemyr of Ukraine in straight games 21-14, 22-20, Sathish and Aadya defeated Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan of Chinese Taipei 15-21, 21-16, 21-17. Of the four mixed doubles pairs, only Sathish and Aadya won their first round match.
