New construction project expected to cause ‘significant' delays on VT 2A
WILLISTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Construction work on the Williston VT 2A and the Industrial Avenue Project is expected to cause 'significant' delays in certain areas, according to the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Traffic is expected in the 'Five Corners' area of Essex Junction, on VT 2A at the intersection with VT 15 and VT 117. Delays are also anticipated at the U.S. Route 2 and VT 2A intersection in Williston. Work in these areas will occur on weekdays now through fall 2025. Vermont AOT to hold public meeting next week about construction
WILLISTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Vermont's Agency of Transportation has invited the public to join a meeting about the Industrial Avenue Project and Williston VT 2A. This public meeting will cover the reconstruction of a 0.7-mile segment on VT 2A from Meadowrun Road to the River Cove Road area. Construction is expected to start mid-April and conclude fall 2026, according to a release from AOT. A project overview, construction schedule, information on safety additions and more will be provided at the meeting. Anyone in attendance will be able to ask questions to the project team. The meeting will be held at Williston Central School on March 17. Individuals can join in person or online using Zoom with meeting ID 838 0868 6657.
