Downpour in Nashik city again, power cuts hit industrial production
Nashik: Intense rainfall continued to batter Nashik city for the third straight day on Monday. Several neighbourhoods were waterlogged, streets were congested, and many trees were uprooted.
The city received 21mm of rainfall within four hours in the 70 trees were uprooted in different areas, including Satpur, Cidco, and Gangapur Road on Monday afternoon. They caused traffic congestion lasting over an hour at multiple locations. The fire brigade personnel responded promptly, clearing the trees to restore traffic movement. Light showers are expected on Thursday and Friday. Besides Nashik city, heavy rainfall affected parts of Sinnar, Niphad, Chandwad, Trimbakeshwar, and other talukas of Nashik district, causing flooding in Trimbakeshwar town.
