Hodeida - Saba : The Economy, Industry and Investment Office in Hodeidah Governorate seized 84 ration violations during a market control campaign during the month of Ramadan, targeting 509 shops. The results showed the commitment of 298 shops, while 127 circulars were directed to correct violations. The violations included failure to declare prices, raising prices, selling damaged goods, lack of weight of bread, non-conformity with specifications, poor storage, and non-compliance with health requirements. The office also carried out a campaign on meat markets, restaurants and ice factories to control prices and ensure compliance with standards. The director of the office stressed the continuation of monitoring campaigns throughout the Ramadan in cooperation with local authorities and security agencies, calling on citizens to report violations, stressing that strict measures should be taken against violators to ensure market stability and protect consumers. Sa'ada LC chief kicks off monitor campaign targeting markets

Sa'ada - Saba: The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Sa'ada Governorate, Mohammed Al-Imad, and the Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Badani, on Saturday launched a field campaign to monitor markets and the food supply situation in conjunction with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan. At the launch, at the governorate center, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Economy, Industry and Investment Office, Marsh Al-Sharaabi, Al-Imad explained that the campaign aims to ensure compliance with prices and protect the consumer in all markets. He noted that the campaign comes within the plans of the local authority and the Industry Office to enhance the supervisory role in markets and follow up on the food and price situation of basic and consumer goods that are increasingly in demand during the holy month. He stressed the keenness to implement the campaign and not to be lenient in taking the necessary measures against violators and those who tamper with citizens' food. Al-Imad praised the efforts of the field control teams in implementing the campaign and the role of citizens in supporting the efforts of the office and reporting violators. The Director of the Economy and Industry Office stressed the keenness to intensify campaigns to monitor prices and the food supply situation in conjunction with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan and to monitor commercial movement during this period in all markets. He stated that plans have been prepared to implement control and inspection campaigns on markets, bakeries and consumer complexes to ensure the availability of all goods and to control any monopolistic practices, commercial fraud and price manipulation. Al-Sharaabi pointed out that the campaign will continue until the end of Ramadan, in accordance with the directives of the ministry's leadership aimed at protecting the consumer, strengthening the supervisory role in the markets and monitoring the supply and price situation of basic and consumer goods.
