Havlicek Stole the Pod 3: On Celtics alumni in an Indy-OKC finals and the East's future with Kory Waldron
The Boston Celtics are not in the 2025 NBA Finals, and took leave of the playoffs earlier than expected at the hands of the New York Knicks. But there are two Boston alumni who will be in the finals, one the Celtics traded away in the deal to bring on Malcolm Brogdon, and the other who will be coaching the team taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The duo of course is forward Aaron Nesmith and Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, two key cogs in a team many Boston fans have adopted in the absence of the Celtics in the postseason. To get a better handle on their roles with the Pacers and whether they have a path to prove the doubters wrong once again, the folks behind "Havlicek Stole the Pod" linked up with Kory Waldron of "Full Access Hoops" to talk over the surprise matchup, the ties to the Celtics, and the future of the East.
They also touch on some surprising front office and coaching moves that broke in recent days -- and propose an unlikely but fun one as well. Check it out below!
