Fever Getting Praised For Decision Amid Caitlin Clark's Absence
Fever Getting Praised For Decision Amid Caitlin Clark's Absence originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever are in some trouble these days. They have lost two games in a row ever since Caitlin Clark was diagnosed with a strained quad and was expected to miss at least two weeks as a result. In Friday's loss to the Connecticut Sun, they also lost guards Sydney Colson and Sophie Cunningham, which has left them very thin in the backcourt. Advertisement But something touching took place at Friday's game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Some lovely dogs were brought in from IndyHumane and made available for adoption, and fans on social media were moved by the gesture. "Aww be awesome if they get picked up!!" one user commented. "This is truly amazing," another fan wrote. "Let's do this more and get these babies in loving homes." "This is amazing!!!!" a third fan wrote. "Thanks for highlighting dogs looking for loving homes!❤️🔥❤️" "I love this so much!" another fan wrote. "Way to go Indy for being attention to these little babies ❤️❤️" "Omg!" a fifth user wrote. "This is the sweetest thing ever💙❤️💛🐾🐾💛❤️💙" Advertisement "L♥️VE this!! 🎉🐶," another user wrote. IndyHumane, which was founded in 1905, is a local non-profit that allows people to adopt rescue animals. It also provides veterinary services for sick pets, as well as spaying and neutering services. The Fever appear to have sufficient offensive firepower to manage without Clark for a period. This offseason, they acquired former All-Stars Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner, which helped make the team, in the minds of many, a legitimate championship contender. Indiana Fever forward Natasha Howard (6) makes her team debut against the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Ruszkowski-Imagn Images It currently has a 2-4 record, and after hosting the Washington Mystics on Tuesday, it will visit Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, as well as the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty. Advertisement Indiana lost to the Liberty 90-88 this past Saturday when it blew a sizable second-half lead. Clark failed to get off a potential game-winning 3-pointer before time expired, and she was upset because she thought New York's Natasha Cloud fouled her while knocking the basketball out of her hands.
