2026 Infiniti QX60 First Look Review: Mild Updates All Around

On the heels of the fresh and all-new Infiniti QX80 flagship comes the similarly redesigned 2026 Infiniti QX60. But rather than an all-new model, this is a midcycle refresh for the second-generation model that first arrived in 2021. 0:00 / 0:00 Looking Good The biggest change to come to the 2026 Infiniti QX60 is its exterior styling. It was already an attractive three-row luxury SUV but now wears a vertically slatted front grille, as well as more segmented front LED running lights. Infiniti pretty much left the QX60's rear design alone from the 2025 version, though you'll notice company designers removed the Infiniti logo from below the wiper, leaving only the brand's name spelled out. The idea behind that, according to senior manager Anand Patel, was to visually simplify things. The 18-inch wheel option is gone. All QX60s will now come standard with a 20-inch wheel. New paint options include the lovely Deep Emerald hue you can see in these photos. Inside Details We're a bit bummed to see the QX80's all-new interior did not make its way into the refreshed QX60. On top-tier Autograph-trim models, however, a third interior-upholstery color combination called Stone Gray joins the existing two. As its name suggests, it blends a couple of different shades of gray alongside contrast stitching and open-pore wood. In person, it comes across as part of the Millennial Gray trend. Also offered exclusively on Autograph QX60s (at least for now) is the ProPilot Assist 2.1 option, Nissan's version of hands-free adaptive cruise control, simila r to Generals Motors' Super Cruise an d Ford's BlueCruise. (You can tell such equipped cars from non-equipped ones thanks to the dual dorsal antennas.) We've yet to try out the feature on this Infiniti model, but during the new Nissan Armada's first drive back in December, we reported the system's ability to recommend and execute a lane change—with driver permission. Things went offline a little while later because of '3D-map data maintenance.' However, these advanced systems are updated constantly over the air, so we have no doubt they will only improve. Other technological additions to the 2026 Infiniti QX60 include an improved and expanded top-down 360-degree camera system that features a 'hood view.' This helps the driver see what's essentially under the SUV's front bumper—handy, considering that can be a tricky blind spot. These will be equipped on Luxe trims and higher. This refresh also brings digitization to the driver information cluster across all trims. Twin 12.3-inch digital displays house everything you need, and the infotainment system is upgraded to include built-in Google apps such as Google Maps. Finally, the 2026 model year sees the retirement of the Sensory trim and replaces it with the Sport trim. As its name suggests, this is the most aesthetically athletic grade, and it adds a different front fascia, darkened exterior accents, and gloss-black wheels. Captain's chairs come standard in the second row. The Dusk Blue interior color scheme is a moody sight to behold. Power and Pricing No powertrain upgrades accompany the 2026 Infiniti QX60, simply because the 2025 model already swapped the old V-6 for the 2.0-liter variable-compression turbo engine (VC-Turbo). In practice, MotorTrend editors called it 'unrefined' and 'laggy.' This would have been a good opportunity to introduce a hybrid option, but we'll have to wait for that. However, despite not yet knowing specifics about the 2026 Infiniti QX60's pricing, we figure it will adhere to the Infiniti tradition of cutting in slightly lower than the competition, thus giving buyers a more affordable luxury option—now with fitting technology to boot.

2026 Infiniti QX60 Looks a Bit Fresher and Gets a Bumpin' Stereo

The Infiniti QX60 is updated for 2026 with a new front-end design, a Sport trim level, and additional standard features. The variable-compression-ratio turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine is unchanged. Infiniti says the updated QX60 goes on sale this summer, but the company has yet to release prices. Infiniti is attempting to bring some of the gravitas of the big QX80 SUV down to its little sibling, the QX60. For 2026, the three-row mid-size luxury crossover gets a freshening that includes a new audio system, new standard features, a new Sport trim level, and other design updates to link it visually with the QX80, which was redesigned for 2025. It also gains a new hands-free highway driver-assistance system to bring it in line with some of its competitors that offer a similar feature. The new grille, bumper, and front fascia make for a slightly different look, and the large Infiniti logo now comes standard with illumination. Infiniti has replaced the previous QX60's brightwork with dark-chrome trim. There are also new wheel designs, and 20-inch wheels are now standard to replace the previous base trim level's 18-inchers. Out back, the QX60 looks mostly the same, save for a new Infiniti script, some different badging, and the deletion of the fake exhaust outlets from the lower fascia. The nice Deep Emerald green color pictured here is new. View Interior Photos INFINITI Inside, a digital gauge cluster is now standard, and there are new upholstery and trim options, including a stone gray color scheme and open-pore wood with metal inlays. A Klipsch audio system is available, with the less powerful version of this system coming with 16 speakers and the top setup in the Autobiography, called Klipsch Reference Premiere, boasting 20 speakers. The latter setup also includes adjustable audio zones so that the driver can hear, for instance, a Bluetooth phone call while the rest of the car continues to hear music. There are no changes to the QX60's engine, which remains a 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that replaced the previous 3.5-liter V-6 for the 2025 model year. When we tested the 2025 QX60, this powertrain got the SUV to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. Infiniti does say it has made changes to this variable-compression-ratio engine to improve noise, vibration, and harshness. The new-for-2026 Sport trim level does not feature any performance enhancements. Instead, it's simply an appearance package that comes with a different grille, different 20-inch wheels, and a blue-and-black two-tone interior color scheme. It looks much like last year's QX60 Black Edition, with blacked-out trim pieces, and also features a front bumper with a splitter-style lip. View Exterior Photos INFINITI The Sport joins the lineup between the Pure and Luxe trims, with the Autograph sitting above. We don't expect prices to change too much, but they'll likely rise some from the current model, which starts at $51,550 and ranges up to $67,500 for an Autograph. Joey Capparella Deputy Editor, Rankings Content Despite being raised on a steady diet of base-model Hondas and Toyotas—or perhaps because of it—Joey Capparella nonetheless cultivated an obsession for the automotive industry throughout his childhood in Nashville, Tennessee. He found a way to write about cars for the school newspaper during his college years at Rice University, which eventually led him to move to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for his first professional auto-writing gig at Automobile Magazine. He has been part of the Car and Driver team since 2016 and now lives in New York City.

2026 Infiniti QX60 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview The 2026 Infiniti QX60 looks good, offers plenty of impressive features, and has an attractive starting price, but it doesn't stack up favorably to the best luxury SUVs in this class. It shares its platform with the Nissan Pathfinder, and those Nissan roots show through a bit too much. A turbocharged four-cylinder provides 268 horsepower, which is merely adequate in moving the QX60 along. All models come relatively well-equipped, but higher-end trims are where you'll find the most luxurious experience. Features such as a 20-speaker Klipsch stereo, semi-aniline leather upholstery, massaging front seats, open-pore wood trim, and a cabin air purifier are all exclusive to the top Autograph trim. Compared to rivals such as the Acura MDX and the Buick Enclave, the QX60 holds its own, but European options such as the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90 both offer more refinement. What's New for 2026? The QX60 undergoes a light styling refresh this year to align it more with its big brother, the QX80. A revised grille design surrounds an illuminated Infiniti logo, while the lower front bumper has been reworked to give the SUV a lower and wider look than before. Exterior lighting elements have been revised, too. The Sensory trim has been jettisoned in favor of a new Sport model, which wears unique exterior styling, 20-inch gloss-black wheels, and special S badging. The rest of the lineup receives more standard equipment than last year's QX60, including 20-inch wheels across the board. The top Autograph trim gains an updated approach lighting feature that illuminates the grille emblem and the daytime running lights upon sensing the key and activates projectors that broadcast the word Infiniti on the ground on either side of the SUV. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Infiniti QX60 is expected to start around $52,000 and go up to $68,000 depending on the trim and options. Pure $52,000 (est) Luxe $59,000 (est) Sport $61,000 (est) Autograph $68,000 (est) 0 $25k $50k $75k $100k $125k The Luxe trim is the model we'd suggest. It comes standard with premium features such as a 16-speaker Klipsch stereo system, heated and cooled front seats, heated second-row seats, adaptive cruise control, a power-adjustable steering column, remote start, and a 360-degree exterior camera system. Front-wheel drive is standard and will likely be fine for most buyers, but all-wheel drive is available as an option. Engine, Transmission, and Performance The QX60 is powered by a 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and comes with a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is optional, but on the QX60, front-wheel drive is standard. During our test drive of the QX60, we found the four-cylinder powertrain to be rather poky, but casual drivers will not find cause for complaint. The nine-speed automatic shifts to the highest gear possible and is reluctant to downshift when you need more power for passing or merging. The ride is stiffer than we expected for what otherwise is a comfy cruiser. 0–60-MPH Times In our testing, a 2025 QX60 with the turbo four-cylinder engine needed 7.5 seconds to get to 60 mph. That's slower than the Volvo XC90 B6 by 0.7 seconds. View Exterior Photos INFINITI Towing and Payload Capacity The QX60 offers up to 6,000 pounds of towing capacity. That matches the maximum capacity of the Genesis GV80 but is less than what the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE350 will tow. Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The EPA hasn't released any fuel economy information for the 2026 QX60 yet, but the 2025 model earned ratings of 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. When we get a chance, we'll take the QX60 on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route and update this story with real-world test results. For more information about the QX60's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo Every QX60 offers a three-row interior layout, which means space for up to seven passengers; the Sport and Autograph models come with second-row captain's chairs, reducing passenger capacity to six. The luxed-up cabin is convincing, with posh materials used throughout and plenty of sound-deadening to provide solace from the outside world. Both front seats offer eight-way power adjustments as well as heat, but Infiniti also offers niceties such as ventilated front seats, a massage feature, and heated rear seats as options. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard as well, and higher trim levels can be ordered with a three-zone system that also includes an air purifier. View Interior Photos INFINITI Infotainment and Connectivity A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard on the QX60, and it features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A secondary 12.3-inch digital gauge display is standard, and a 10.8-inch head-up display is optional. All QX60s also come with onboard Wi-Fi. A nine-speaker stereo is standard, but buyers can also order a 16- or 20-speaker system tuned by Klipsch. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features A host of driver-assistance features are standard, with more high-tech items being offered as options, including an adaptive cruise control system that utilizes data from the QX60's onboard navigation system to slow the vehicle in anticipation of upcoming curves in the road. For more information about the QX60's crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard forward collision warning with automated emergency braking Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist Available adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature Warranty and Maintenance Coverage All Infiniti models offer longer powertrain coverage than most rivals at six years or 70,000 miles, and the brand offers complimentary scheduled maintenance like BMW does for the X5 and Volvo for the XC90. Limited warranty covers 4 years or 60,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers 6 years or 70,000 miles Complimentary maintenance is covered for 3 years or 30,000 miles. Major Refresh For Infiniti QX60 Includes Model To Attract Men

Refreshed 2026 Infiniti QX60, three-row SUV, due out summer of 2026. Completely new styling, upgraded technology and the addition of a version aimed at men highlight an aggressively refreshed Infinity QX60 SUV due out this summer. Many of the design cues carry forward those found on the larger, eight-seat QX80 introduced last year which represent Infinity's 'Artistry in Motion' design language, according to Anand Patel, senior regional product manager, during a walkaround last month at the Nissan North America Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan, near Detroit. Infiniti is Nissan's luxury line. 'We've modified everything, all the soft parts and under the hood,' said Patel. The modifications and upgrades come as QX60 sales sagged in the first quarter of the year, dipping 8.7% from the first three months of 2024. Just how shoppers in the luxury three-row SUV market respond will be key as the refreshed QX60 looks to carve out a larger share of the market. Patel noted the vehicle's key competitors as Acura MDX, its sports model, Lexus TX, Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7. New grille design and lighted Infiniti logo on 2026 QX60. Significant exterior updates include the use of dark-tinted chrome and a grille that features vertical elements designed to evoke what Patel described as a 'forest of bamboo.' The three-dimensional Infiniti logo now lights up along with the daytime running lights, the same as on the QX80. The entire DRL scheme also mirror the QX80's, where the lights are segmented into smaller elements—a concept Infinity calls it the 'piano key light design.' Pointing out the lighted 3D logo on the front would be difficult to duplicate in the rear, Patel noted the 'infinite road' logo is replaced by the brand's name spelled out. Every trim level will ride on new 20-inch wheels, up from 18-inches when the QX60 was introduced in 2025. Speaking of color, the model in our walkaround, the top trim level, Autograph, was bathed in deep emerald green, one of 10 shades available for the refreshed QX60. All-wheel drive medallion on 2026 QX60 is reconfigured to represent a Japanese hanko stamp. The all-wheel drive badge on those models with that feature has been updated to mimic Japanese hanko stamps. Families in Japan use the distinctive stamps when signing important documents, Patel explained. Some of the most dramatic features of the refreshed SUV are found in the cabin and under the hood. Interior in refreshed 2026 Infiniti QX60 New for 2026, the beige, sandstone interior color option has been replaced by stone grey to complement the available saddle brown and graphite options. Upholstery in the Pure and Luxe trim levels features a silver metallic weave while the up-level Autograph and Sport versions are dressed in black open pore ash wood with metallic inlay. For added comfort, for those willing to pay for it, seats in the Autograph model are ventilated and heated with a massage function. The two lower trim levels seat seven with a standard second-row bench seat, while six can ride in the Autograph and Sport which come with two captain's chairs in the second row. All trim levels include third row seating. The 2026 QX60 Sport is a new variant of the SUV. The Sport is an addition to the QX60 model, firmly in the middle of the lineup—not entry level, but not the most expensive either. It's aimed at broadening the appeal of the vehicle across gender lines. Anand Patel, senior regional product manager, Infiniti. 'Our core buyer on the QX 60 is actually a female, has a family with kids,' said Patel. 'But if we do have some male customers coming in, they may want something, or even female customers will want to have something a little more stylish and aggressive, and the Sport could be a flavor and character for them.' That aggressive flavor and character is seen in the sharpened grille mesh as part of its unique front fascia, gloss black 20-inch wheels and navy blue and black interior exclusive to the model. These days, of course, while styling is always important, the level of technology can make or break the deal. 12.3-inch display on 2026 Infiniti QX60. The refreshed QX60 includes dual 12.3-inch displays—one for infotainment, the other for the reconfigurable instrument cluster. An important tech update is the addition of Infiniti In-Touch with Google built-in, offering to Google, its app store and natural language voice commands, Patel pointed out. For the first time Android Auto users can be connected wirelessly. James Mastronardi, vehicle performance development manager. 'We're actually releasing our own apps now,' said James Mastronardi, vehicle performance development manager. 'So for example, one cool app that we just released is if someone is near the end of their lease and they want to purchase mileage at a discounted rate, you can do that right in your car. So instead of going to the dealership, we're like, you want to purchase that ahead of time, we'll give you a big discount on the mile right through the screen.' The 2026 QX60 is powered by a 2.0 liter, downsized turbo, and is able to tow 6,000 pounds. 'The fuel economy is up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway, but also a great balance of fuel economy and performance, we believe, because at the 28 miles per gallon, you're still getting 286 pounds foot of torque at 4400 RPMs, and then 268 horsepower,' explained Mastronardi. New safety features include 3D Around-View Monitor with moving object detection on the Luxe and higher models. It's an upgrade from the previous Around-View monitoring system that uses eight fixed views from around the vehicle to detect obstacles when parking. Image from 2026 Infiniti QX60 3D Around-View Monitor which allows drivers to "see" through the ... More front-end of the vehcle. That's helpful, but the new Invisible Hood View is dramatic. It uses advanced image processing to take images from the QX60's exterior cameras to project a view of what's under the vehicle. It's as if the entire engine compartment becomes invisible and you're seeing right through it. Helpful when trying to line-up onto the track at a car wash or avoid curbs in tight spots. Infiniti's ProPilot Assist 2.1 self-driving technology is available as an option on the Autograph model. It provides hands-free driving on over 220,000 U.S. roads, according to Mastronardi. Built in Smyrna, Tennessee, the refreshed QX60 is due out this summer and pricing will be announced closer to its release, according to Patel. Beyond that, Infiniti plans to introduce the QX65 later this year, a sportier two-row SUV.
