Runaway cow recaptured after six-hour operation in KK

The cow, which broke loose at around 8pm, could not be subdued by its owner and residents due to its aggressive behaviour. Advertisement Kota Kinabalu Civil Defence Force (APM) officers were called in and arrived at midnight to assist in the capture. Six officers, equipped with PPE and rope tools, managed to restrain the 300kg bull with help from the community at 2.16am. Tenom thief bites off more fruit than he can chew

A would-be thief in Tenom got more fibre than fortune after snatching a woman's bag on May 26, only to discover it contained papayas, a bunch of keys, and a bottle of water. According to Info X and a short viral video, the woman escaped shaken but unharmed—while the contents left netizens more amused than alarmed. "Short-lived happiness, heavy load," quipped one user, while another added, "That thief must be traumatised for life and repent." 'He must be full from eating papayas,' joked another. Fallen tree hits rider on Jalan Tuaran
Published on: Friday, May 02, 2025 Published on: Fri, May 02, 2025 Text Size: The crash scene. - Pic by Info X KOTA KINABALU: A 55-year-old man was injured after a Yamaha NVX scooter he was riding was struck by a fallen tree near the High Court along Jalan Tuaran on Friday evening. The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 5.35pm and arrived at the scene within four minutes, located about 2 kilometres from the Kota Kinabalu station. A total of seven firefighters responded to the incident, with support from police and Health Ministry personnel. The victim received initial treatment at the scene from the EMRS team before being transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for further medical attention. Immigration detains 57 foreigners in Kuala Penyu raid

KUALA PENYU: A total of 57 foreigners were detained out of 81 individuals screened during an integrated enforcement operation at two foreign settlements here on Wednesday, Info X reported. The midnight operation was carried out by Immigration officers from Kota Kinabalu, Sipitang, and Tenom districts. Sabah Immigration Director Datuk SH Sitti Saleha Habib Yusoff said the raid followed a month-long intelligence operation and public complaints. Those detained included 22 men, six adult women, 17 boys, 11 girls—all Filipinos—and one Indonesian man, all suspected of immigration offences. The hazard was spotted by a police escort officer for the Yang di-Pertua Negeri while riding towards the Bukit Nanas interchange at Jalan Kolam, Karamunsing.
