Last Updated:
Ajaz Khan is facing massive backlash over a viral video from his reality show House Arrest on the Ullu App, where contestants were asked to perform sexual acts.
Ajaz Khan has found himself at the center of a major controversy after a video from his ongoing reality show House Arrest on the Ullu App went viral on social media. In the now-circulating clip, Ajaz is seen asking contestants to enact various Kamasutra sex positions—a moment that has sparked widespread outrage across social platforms and political circles alike.
The content of the show has left many netizens shocked, with users slamming it for promoting explicit material in the name of entertainment. Social media has been flooded with demands to take strict action against both the actor and the makers of the show. One user wrote, 'This is seriously concerning and a total damning of our culture. We demand a strict action against this joker @AjazkhanActor for promoting total vulgarity on his show #HouseArrest. Please ban this show immediately." Another X user alleged, 'There is a show called House Arrest hosted by Ajaz Khan. In this show, girls are asked to remove their bras and panties. What is the Information and Technology Ministry doing? #HouseArrest."
यह नहीं चलेगा @MIB_India, हमारी कमिटि इसपर कारवाई करेगी — Dr Nishikant Dubey (@nishikant_dubey) May 1, 2025
I have raised this in the standing committee that apps such as this, namely, Ullu App and Alt Balaji have managed to escape the ban by I&B ministry on apps for obscene content. I am still awaiting their reply. — Priyanka Chaturvedi🇮🇳 (@priyankac19) May 1, 2025
The controversy has drawn political attention as well. BJP MP from Jharkhand's Godda constituency, Nishikant Dubey, reacted by resharing the video and tagging the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He wrote, 'Yaha nahi chalega. Hamari committee iss par karwaai karegi," signaling that parliamentary action might follow. Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also raised concerns, stating, 'I have raised this in the Standing Committee—that apps such as this, namely Ullu App and Alt Balaji, have managed to escape the I&B ministry's ban on obscene content. I am still awaiting their reply."
The backlash against House Arrest has intensified, with calls to ban the show trending on social media. While the Ullu App has not responded officially, the incident has reignited the debate around digital content regulation in India. It remains to be seen whether the government or relevant authorities will take formal legal action against the show's makers or Ajaz Khan himself.
