Second Concert on the Commons series set for Thursday night

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Inner Banks Media Concert on the Commons concert series returns to Greenville this week on Thursday, May 22. On April 24, the concert featured The Dave Matthew's Tribute Band. This week, the concert will feature beach legends, The Embers, and Craig Woolard at the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater. The Embers will perform their huge hits 'I Love Beach Music' and 'Far Away Places' plus some of the songs Woolard has recorded including 'Love Don't Come No Stronger' and 'What You Do To Me'. They will also perform other recognizable hit songs. 'We are excited to have Craig and the Embers back,' Managing Partner of Inner Banks Media, Hank Hinton said. 'Craig is such an amazing showman, and everyone can sing along to all those great songs'. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. and is free of charge. There are no coolers allowed, but beer and wine will be available for purchase. Food trucks will also be lined up along First Street. 'The shows are free again this year, but we are reminding people not to bring coolers', said Hinton. 'One of the ways we keep the shows free to the public is by working with the Greenville Junior League on beverage sales'. Don't miss out on the next three shows happening on June 5, June 26, and July 10. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Second public meeting to be held for Bryan Inner Loop East Study

BRYAN, Texas (FOX 44) – A second public meeting will be held for the Inner Loop East Study in Bryan on Tuesday. According to the Office of the Brazos County Judge, the Inner Loop East Study Team is looking to share information and collect input on the updated study area, refined alignment concepts, traffic modeling, and the next steps which need to be taken. The next meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Legends Event Center, located at 2533 Midtown Park Boulevard. No formal presentation is planned. Community members are invited to come and go at their convenience. Meeting materials will be available online here on Tuesday. The Office of the Judge says at the first public meeting in November 2024, the study team shared information on the study background, the need and purpose of the proposed roadway, environmental considerations, proposed roadway configuration, and six alignment concepts for public and property owner feedback. This meeting had over 600 attendees and over 1,300 comments. Based on feedback and additional environmental studies, the team adjusted the original study area to find ways to reduce the number of impacts to property owners and existing home sites. Killeen Florence Road lane closure planned through May 9 Since then, the team has been working through additional environmental studies and meeting with property owners within the adjusted study area to inform them of the change and share updates. The Office of the Judge says working with the community and property owners is a priority for the County and the Study Team. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Sonal Chauhan credits Anushka Sharma for bringing out Virat Kohli's ‘spiritual side': ‘I think she is a calming factor…'; how partners can play a role

Sonal Chauhan, who recently attended a Mumbai Indians match at the Indian Premier League, has opened up about how she would greet Virat Kohli if she were to bump into him. In an interview, the Jannat actor said, 'I would say Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev, since he is right now being very religious. I am seeing a lot of his reels where he's exploring that spiritual side of his.' Crediting the actor and Kohli's wife, Anushka Sharma, for the change in him, she told Filmygyan, 'I think it's the right woman in his life who is bringing out the spiritual side in him. I think not just the right partner, but when you are surrounded by the right people, positive people, it reflects on your personality also. I think she is a calming factor in his life.' Notably, Kohli and Sharma have been spotted visiting spiritual places, including the ashram of Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan and Neem Karoli Baba's ashram in Nainital, as well as the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. They also attended American vocalist Krishna Das' kirtan in London and Mumbai. But what exactly is spirituality? Soma Chatterjee, an internationally certified Reiki master teacher and founder of Inner Wisdom Light, shared that spirituality is a journey within, connecting us to our sense of purpose and inner peace. 'And when you get the right environment to thrive, you can fuel your inner growth. Just like when a plant gets the right amount of water, nutritious soil, and sunlight, it feels nurtured and can grow, likewise, when the right people surround the external world, you can take care of your internal world, and therefore flourish in all areas of your life,' Chatterjee told She also emphasised that having a partner who encourages your spiritual growth is 'deeply important.' 'Mostly because their support creates a safe and nurturing emotional environment. When your partner respects and uplifts your spiritual journey, it not only strengthens your bond but also gives you the confidence to explore and express your spiritual side without fear or judgment. Their encouragement validates your experiences, keeps you grounded, and reminds you that you're not alone on this path,' said Chatterjee. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visit a spiritual leader. (Photo: Bhajan Marg/YouTube) According to her, humans have a lot of 'potential within us and the infinite possibilities we can create in our lives'. 'We limit our belief, lower our standards, and get too influenced by what's happening around us. If we take time to calm down, and become present within ourselves and listen to the intelligence within, then anything is possible and for anyone,' said Chatterjee. Chatterjee mentioned that a good start is when one can create a positive dialogue within and practice it as a daily habit. 'When you are consistent with a habit, you are working towards a responsibility that can help you find balance. This helps take charge of yourself and live a life that you desire, full of self-control, peace, and joy,' shared Chatterjee.
