Toyota Kirloskar's May sales rise 22% to 30,864 units
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Sunday reported a 22 per cent increase in sales in May, 2025. The carmaker sold 30,864 units last month, including exports of 1,584 units. Srong demand for its MPV and SUV segments and the launch of the Innova HyCross exclusive edition contributed to the overall growth, the company said. The carmaker sold 25,273 units in May 2024. In the first two months of FY26, TKM sold 58,188 units, registering a growth of 27 per cent from the 45,767 units sold during the same period in FY25. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said 'In May, we achieved a growth of 22%, a testament to the enduring trust and support of our valued customers, for which we are deeply grateful. With the onset of the monsoon and forecasts indicating a normal to above-normal season, we remain optimistic about improved market sentiment in the coming months, particularly across rural and semi-urban regions." The company's MPV and SUV segments have been key contributors to its growth. These segments experienced a combined sales increase of 34 per cent during April–May FY 2025–26 compared to the same period last year. This underscores a shift in customer preference towards dependable and versatile mobility options. Toyota product expansion The Japanese carmaker reached a milestone with its Fortuner and Legender models, cumulatively selling 3 lakh units of these premium SUVs in India. Toyota has also expanded its MPV offerings with the Innova HyCross Exclusive Edition. This edition features 19 upgrades designed to enhance its hybrid capabilities. The positive response to the Innova HyCross Exclusive Edition highlights its strong market traction. TKM is optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory in the coming months.

Toyota launches exclusive edition of Innova HyCross ZX(O) at ₹32,58,000
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched an exclusive edition of the Innova HyCross in the ZX(O) grade, priced at ₹32,58,000 ex-showroom. It will be available from May 2025 through July 2025 in limited quantities and two colours--super white and pearl white. The Innova HyCross, powered by the 5th Generation Self-Charging Strong Hybrid Electric System , made a debut in November 2022. This special variant embodies Toyota's commitment to exclusivity and elevated customer experience." Design - The exterior features a dual-tone design with black elements. These include the roof, front grill, rear garnish, alloy wheels, and hood emblem. -Additional exterior enhancements include a front under run, front grill garnish, wheel arc moulding, outside rear view mirror (OVRM) garnish, an exclusive badge, rear under run, and rear door chrome lid garnish. -The interior has a dual-tone design, reflected in the instrument panel, door fabric, seat material, and center console lid. -Further interior enhancements include an air purifier, leg room lamp, and wireless charger. -It is built on the advanced Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). Features- -It is equipped with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder gasoline engine and an e-drive sequential shift, and delivers an impressive power output of 137 kW (186 PS). -The hybrid electric system can operate the vehicle up to 60 per cent of the time in electric (EV) mode. This provides a seamless combination of power, efficiency, and environmental consciousness. -It offers class-leading features such as Powered Ottoman Second Row Seats, Front Ventilated Seats, Dual Zone Air Conditioning, and a Panoramic Sunroof. -It also includes Toyota Safety Sense and a connected infotainment experience.
