Symphony Innovate 2025: Cloud9 mobile unveiled, cybersecurity, quantum and AI take center stage

Additionally, advisors can communicate with internal teams on Symphony Messaging directly from Teams, streamlining communication and critical workflows across departments. HSBC demoed their use case for its Global Private Banking chat platform - HSBC GPB Chat - , where they seamlessly connect with clients on WhatsApp. Quantum technology had an important role in the day. Chief information officer, Dietmar Fauser, discussed the business opportunities and risk of quantum computing hitting mainstream and actions taken by Symphony to quantum proof its technology. A discussion panel featuring industry organization UK Finance, BNP Paribas and Barclays explored the transformative potential of quantum computing and requirement for post quantum security for financial markets. Asset finance tech company Odessa names new CEO
Odessa, a provider of technology solutions for asset finance, has appointed Joe Juliano as its new CEO. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Juliano has experience in launching, leading, and scaling software companies. Juliano previously held the CEO position at MercuryGate, where he, according to Odessa, 'transformed the company into a global leader in sales and implementation'. Under his leadership, MercuryGate delivered software solutions to transportation management organisations. In addition to his role at MercuryGate, Juliano held CEO and leadership positions at software services companies such as IQNavigator, RedPrairie, PrimeRevenue, and SAP Ariba. Odessa co-founder and executive chairman Madhu Natarajan said: 'He [Juliano] brings a proven track record of delivering sophisticated enterprise technology at scale and driving innovation that not only exceeds customer expectations today but also sets the standard for the future.'
