Warrington: Police given extra powers for Neighbourhood Weekender

A dispersal order will be in place across Warrington town centre during the Neighbourhood Weekender music festival, police have 09:00 BST on Saturday until the same time on Monday, Cheshire Police said its officers would be able to order people to leave a defined area and not return to it for up to 48 force said the move was aimed at keeping visitors and residents safe during the festival, which each year attracts tens of thousands of music Chris Webster said additional officers would be deployed to help prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour.
