Two teenage boys arrested over replica gun in Hull's East Park
Two teenage boys have been arrested after they were seen with an imitation gun in a Hull Police said officers were called to reports of "teenage boys believed to be carrying a weapon" in East Park shortly before 16:00 BST on Wednesday and had recovered what they thought was a replica gun.A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.A 17-year-old boy was held on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm and possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Both have since been released on bail while inquiries continued, the force Lucy Kevan said the incident was "concerning for the local community" but officers had acted appealed for anyone with information to contact the force.
