KUWAIT CITY, April 18: As part of ongoing inspection campaigns targeting industrial facilities in the Al-Rai area, the Environment Public Authority, through its Inspection and Control Department, joined forces with several government agencies to inspect factories and commercial establishments. The objective was to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014 and its amendments. The campaign led to the issuance of multiple environmental violation notices, and the participating agencies took all necessary actions against the offenders.

Sharjah Municipality intensifies oversight ahead of Eid Al Fitr

Dedicated Inspection Teams Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, the Director General of Sharjah City Municipality, announced that a dedicated team of 134 inspectors has been deployed to oversee food outlets, guaranteeing adherence to health and safety regulations. With the increased demand during Eid, restaurants, bakeries, and sweet shops will be under constant surveillance, alongside barbershops and beauty centers, to ensure public health is protected and hygiene standards are upheld. Public Conduct Monitoring Al Tunaiji announced that an additional team containing 186 inspectors from the Inspection and Control Department will be dedicated to regulating negative behaviors and public disturbances. Authorities have announced that there will be an increased presence of lifeguards on beaches, while public parks will undergo rigorous monitoring to guarantee compliance with municipal guidelines and safety protocols. Eid Prayer Preparation The Director General also confirmed that necessary staff, equipment, and machinery have been allocated to prepare Eid prayer areas. This includes cleaning, pest control, and organising parking to ensure readiness and ease for worshippers during the celebrations. Free Parking Announcement Regarding public parking, Al Tunaiji announced that parking will be free on the first, second, and third days of Eid, excluding areas with blue signs, which are subject to fees on all days, including holidays. Inspection teams will continue to monitor for violations and misuse of parking spaces, and the public is urged to use them responsibly. Parks Ready for Visitors Sharjah's parks are set to welcome families this Eid, providing top-notch services and delightful areas for gatherings. The municipality remains open to public feedback, reports, and inquiries around the clock through its call center at 993.
