Stewart Cink won the PGA Tour Champions Insperity Invitational in spectacular fashion, defeating Retief Goosen in a playoff. While the moment must have been emotional for Cink, it was certainly more so for his caddie, Chris P-Jones.
The veteran bagman was barely able to answer questions from the press after helping Cink to victory as he was too busy fighting back tears.
"You'll make me cry," he said.

MoreNevertheless, he found a way to string some ideas together and use them to praise Cink, less as a player than as a person:
"He's the best. He's like one of the best humans...I mean, results are awesome, but we're going to work, and like your job, and loving being around who you spend eight hours a day is huge, because there's plenty of caddies who don't love going to work and I'm lucky."
Jones said this was the seventh time in his 24 years of caddying that he had participated in victory, and the moment definitely marked him.

"This is why you walk there. This is why I was here on Monday walking the course by myself doing my homework. You know, this is... it's fun. The homework's fun. Practice is fun. Stewart and I always say: "You do your job, and I'll do my job."
Cink and Jones have been working together for several years. The caddie has extensive experience on the PGA Tour, having taken care of the bags of Mark Wilson, Kevin Na, Will Zalatoris and many other pros.
Jones has been with the 51-year-old player throughout his journey on the PGA Tour Champions, which he joined in 2024. Cink already has two victories in 22 tournaments, with other 16 top 10s.
Cink won in The Woodlands, Texas, with rounds of 71, 66 and 68. He was tied with Goosen at 11 under after 54 holes, forcing a playoff for the title that lasted just one hole.
The 2009 Open Championship winner has six top-10s in seven events this season, including this weekend's victory.
