Archstone Boards 'Chili Finger' With Greer, Astin, Cranston and Goodman EXCLUSIVE: Archstone has taken over international sales duties from Moonstone Entertainment to dark comedy Chili Finger ahead of the Cannes market. Set to shoot this summer in Central Illinois, the film is due to star Judy Greer, Sean Astin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman. Gersh will continue handling domestic. Chili Finger tells the story of a recently empty-nested mother Jess (Greer) who discovers a human finger in her bowl of chili. When she blackmails the restaurant for a cash payout, the situation spirals out of control and her life descends into chaos. Edd Benda and Stephen Helstad, who wrote the script, will co-direct. Sam Sandweiss and Jo Henriquez are producing. Goodman and Greer will executive produce alongside Archstone's Jack Sheehan, Scott Martin, and Michael Slifkin. Kate Horton Productions and Landmark Productions are behind the show in which Gleeson will play Jack at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London from 12 September to 6 December 2025, with a press night on Friday 19 September. The show will start out at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre from 8 August to 6 September. Additional casting is in process. Michelle Ang Leads Dystopian Pic 'Insula' EXCLUSIVE: Media Tech Productions NZ will be looking to drum up Cannes sales on dystopian feature Insula, starring Michelle Ang (Star Wars: The Bad Batch), Simon Prast (MaXXXine) and Catherine Waller (Off-Broadway's The Creeps). The film charts the story of Laura (Ang), a reclusive actress haunted by memories of her lost wife (Waller), and Tristram (Prast), a ruthless businessman who lures a struggling artist into a life-altering game. Alex Plumb is director, writer and produced with Waller. Executive producers are Waller and Plumb as well as Rogers Shakes and James Sweetbaum of Media Tech Productions NZ. The project is entering its final phase of filming with delivery anticipated in December. Plumb's short film Angelo was a selection at Tribeca in 2023. Wheelhouse Lands Celebrity Version Of Channel 5's 'Puzzling' With Fresh Host Wheelhouse has landed a second season of its Channel 5 Puzzling series with celebrities on board for this outing. Jeremy Vine has been brought in as host in place of Lucy Worsley and team captains will be Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman. Celebrity guests will include Scarlett Moffat, Les Dennis and Gareth Malone. The weekly quiz sees teams tackle a range puzzles – testing logic, lateral thinking and problem-solving. Puzzling was Channel 5's first quiz commission. Brent Montgomery's Wheelhouse, which is run by Glenn Hugill in the UK, is producing this celebrity version with The Chase maker Potato. Hot off the back of the Liberals' patriot-led election win, Crave's first animated streaming original, Super Team Canada, has set a May 16 launch date. Blend of art & glamour makes inter-college fest a lively affair
Lucknow: The final day of the inter-college fest Insula ended on a high note, offering a perfect blend of art, glamour, and energy on Wednesday. From powerful performances to vibrant celebrations with more than 10,000 students participating in the three-day fest organised by Lucknow University 's department of psychology and Psyche Hub Club. "From theatre to DJ night, every event at Insula had its own charm. I've made so many memories in these three days. It was great to finally see our hard work come alive on stage." said, a student of BA Psychology, Aastha Sharma. "Insula wasn't just a festival, but an emotion. The energy, the crowd, and the cheers made it feel like we were part of something truly special,." said a student of BA psychology, Garima Singh The day began with a gripping theatre act by PRAAN, setting an impactful tone. LU's ‘Island of Creative Minds' celebrates intellectual exploration
Lucknow: Lucknow University 's department of psychology and Psyche Hub Club launched ' Insula: The Island of Creative Minds ', a three-day inter-college festival , on Monday. The fest celebrates creativity, intellectual exploration and artistic expression through a variety of competitions like poster making, solo and duet dances, singing, poetry, quiz, reel making, escape room challenges, mono act, scribble, psyche theory, debate, nukkad natak, short films, photography, BGMI, cosplay, and ramp walk contests. The event will also feature major attractions, including talk shows, flash mob performances, theatre acts, a fashion walk, a Sufi evening titled Sufiyana Safar, and a DJ night. Day 1 of the event featured poster making, reel making, dance performances, mono act, and poetry recitations. Spain Busts Major Morocco-Linked Drug Network on Guadalquivir Route
Doha – The Spanish Civil Guard has arrested 23 members of a criminal organization known as 'El Tarta,' which was responsible for trafficking large quantities of hashish from Morocco through the Guadalquivir River. The operation, codenamed 'Insula,' resulted in the seizure of 452 kilograms of hashish and the recovery of stolen vehicles used for drug transport. Among those detained was the group's leader, known as 'El Tarta,' a notorious drug trafficker in the region. The criminal network operated primarily between the provinces of Seville and Cádiz, with a significant presence in Lebrija. During the operation, authorities conducted 20 house searches across various locations, including San Roque, Lebrija, El Palmar de Troya, Trebujena, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and Rota. The Civil Guard also seized three high-speed boats, each equipped with 300-horsepower motors, along with 22,406 liters of gasoline, €54,840 in cash, and various electronic devices including GPS systems and satellite phones. The investigation, which began in April 2024, revealed a highly organized structure where each member had specific roles. The group maintained storage facilities for drugs and fuel supplies for their speedboats operating on the Guadalquivir River. Between 2020 and 2024, the country's security services intercepted substantial quantities of illegal substances, including 1,777 tons of cannabis resin, 1,222 tons of cannabis herb, 6.48 tons of cocaine, 38 kg of heroin, and over 8 million psychotropic tablets. In a simultaneous crackdown effort that made headlines, Spanish authorities recently uncovered a sophisticated drug trafficking tunnel connecting Ceuta to Morocco. The tunnel, discovered on February 19, measures 12 meters deep and extends at least 50 meters, featuring multiple galleries in Spanish territory. Located in Ceuta's Tarajal Industrial Park, the tunnel was found during 'Operation Hades' and is believed to have been used for hashish trafficking. This month, Morocco co-sponsored a first-of-its-kind UN resolution addressing the environmental impact of drug-related activities. The resolution, developed in collaboration with France and Brazil, was adopted during the 68th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna.
