In celebration of International Casino Day (May 15), casino review and rankings site—unveiled its list of the 'luckiest' casinos in the United States. To determine the rankings, analysts sifted through Tripadvisor reviews, tracking how often visitors mentioned luck-related keywords such as 'luck,' 'lucky,' 'won,' 'winning,' 'jackpot,' 'bonus,' and 'profit.' The more frequent the lucky language, the higher a casino ranked on the list.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino emerged as the luckiest. The Tampa hotel has a 245,000 square-foot gaming space with music memorabilia lining the walls. Overnight guests can retreat to their room and enjoy music amenities like a personalized playlist on Spotify (go ahead, add some winning tunes like Frank Sinatra's 'Luck Be A Lady') or you can reserve a Fender guitar with headphones and an amplifier.
Other lucky casinos on the list are spread out throughout the country, from New York to California.
Two of the luckiest casinos on the top 25 list are located in Las Vegas.

There are a few things worth considering when searching for a so-called 'lucky casino.' Paying attention to certain statistics within the casino can subtly shift the house edge in your favor, says Colm Phelan, brand ,anager for
The first would be keeping a close eye on slot machine volatilities, he says. Also known as variance, this tells you how often the machine is likely to pay out.
'Low volatility slots offer smaller, more frequent wins, while high volatility machines pay out larger prizes but less often,' Phelan says. 'It all depends on an individual person's preference and whether they perceive being lucky as the chance of a bigger payday or recouping as much of their wager as possible.' Finding this intel can be tricky to tricky at land-based casinos, but online slots typically disclose volatility upfront.
If you're reducing the house edge purely from a numbers standpoint, avoid triple-zero roulette if a double-zero table is available, Phelan says. Similarly, always opt for 3:2 blackjack payouts over 6:5. The odds are simply better.
One more thing: Many casino patrons subscribe to a long-standing superstition that $50 bills are unlucky. (In fact, some have instructed tellers never to include $50s in change). This could be because the $50 bill features President Ulysses S. Grant, who famously went bankrupt before his death, Phelan points out.
In terms of casino layouts, there is a superstition that slot machines that are placed at the end of a row, in a prominent position or close to a main doorway are more likely to pay out big jackpots than those hidden in quieter spots, Phelan says.
'This is because casinos want to show off big winners to encourage others to play,' he says. 'Machines tucked away in quiet corners might not get the same love.'
