From RM's Rapmon To V's Yeontan: A Look At BTS Members' Pets

Apart from music, shows and fashion, one aspect that often keeps the globally renowned K-pop band BTS in the news is their love for their fur babies. All seven members of the band, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, are or have been paw-rents. In the past, the septet would often share glimpses of their favourite fur babies on their social media accounts, giving fans a peek into their lovely bond. Here's a look at the adorable pets of the BTS members.
RM
BTS' leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, used to be the dad of a male American Eskimo dog named Rapmon. He also called it Moni. After spending a decade with him, RM's fur baby sadly passed away in August 2023, just months before he enlisted in the military. In a live session on Weverse, RM informed ARMYs about Moni's death, saying, 'Ah, Moni! I never shared the news with you guys. Moni, two-three months ago, crossed the rainbow."

The oldest member of BTS once had a Maltese named Jjangu. The male dog used to live with his parents and was with them for over a decade. Unfortunately, in 2017, Jin informed his fans that Jjangu had passed away. Later, he welcomed three sugar gliders into his home and named them Gukmool, Odeng and Eomuk. The last two were gifted to him by his parents. Sadly, Odeng and Eomuk died within a year.

J-Hope
Jung Hoseok, aka J-Hope, owns a white-and-brown Shih Tzu, whom he has named Mickey. It is the only pet the BTS star has, and he often shares some adorable glimpses of it with Mickey on his Instagram account. J-Hope also called his Shih Tzu 'Halabeoji", meaning Grandfather.

Suga
Min Holly is a brown toy poodle that has been in Suga's family for a long time. Min Yoongi, who is well-known for his reserved nature, once revealed that he is not fond of dogs. However, Holly's arrival changed it. He has deep love and affection for his fur baby, which is evident through his social media posts.

Jimin
Park Jimin was the proud owner of a dog named Ddosun, a Pitbull Terrier and Korean Jindo mix. He had Ddosun since childhood but sadly lost him in 2017. Since then, it remains unclear whether the BTS member has adopted another pet.

Kim Yeontan, Tannie or simply Tan, was the name of Kim Taehyung's pet dog. A black-and-tan Pomeranian dog, V's fur baby was quite popular among his fans as the idol often used to post some adorable moments with it on his Instagram account. Unfortunately, Yeontan passed away in December last year. After its demise, V shared with his fans, 'Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog stars. I thought a lot about how to tell you this, but I felt it was right to share this news with ARMY, who have shown so much love for Yeontan. I would be grateful if you could remember Yeontan and wish for his happiness even in the stars."

Jungkook
Jungkook's dog Bam is nearly as famous as the BTS Golden Maknae himself. Bam, a red-and-tan Dobermann, shares a close bond with Jungkook. Although the singer doesn't have a personal Instagram account, Bam is managed by Jungkook and boasts a massive fan following of over 7 million.
Apart from Bam, Jungkook once had a Maltese named Gureum, who passed away in 2021 and two Italian greyhound pups, whom he named Songie and Paengie.
