Indiana, Illinois, Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting names, public group, project, contractor of the year
The Indiana, Illinois, Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting (III FFC) has announced the recipients of its Public Body of the Year, Project of the Year and Contractor of the Year awards. The awards will be presented at the Annual Construction Industry & Public Official Appreciation Dinner on Wednesday, February 19 at the Isle Casino & Hotel, 1777 Isle Parkway in Bettendorf.
This year's honorees are:
Public Body of the Year: City of Moline
Moline has been selected as the Public Body of the Year to recognize its outstanding commitment to advancing infrastructure and community development through collaboration with top-tier responsible contractors.
Project of the Year: Rebuild Downtown Rock Island Redevelopment• Project Owner: City of Rock Island• General Contractor: Valley Construction• Project Engineer: V&K• Project Architect: Streamline Architects• Project Advocate: The Rock Island Downtown Alliance
The redevelopment project is being recognized for showing innovation and collaboration in revitalizing downtown Rock Island to benefit businesses and residents for generations to come. This project will kick-start Rock Island's future as a destination hub for the entire Quad Cities.
Contractor of the Year: Central Excavating
The company is being recognized for outstanding work in the construction industry, a commitment to hiring and training a skilled workforce and adherence to fair contracting standards.
'We are proud to recognize these exceptional partners who demonstrate integrity, quality and commitment to the public good,' said Andrew Waeyaert, Regional Manager at III FFC. 'Their contributions ensure that taxpayer dollars are invested wisely while delivering high-quality, lasting infrastructure improvements in the Quad Cities.'
The III FFC's Annual Construction Industry & Public Official Appreciation Dinner is a way to celebrate achievements in public works construction while strengthening collaboration among industry leaders, contractors and public officials.
