Siouxland nonprofit providing rental assistance
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Rental assistance is again available through the Iowa Rent Reimbursement Program.
Locally, the Community Action Agency of Siouxland processes those requests, offering rent reimbursement for low-income, elderly or disabled individuals who rent in the state of Iowa. Workers at the agency work with residents who are eligible for the program and assist with applications.
Lawsuit against Orange City rental inspection ordinance dismissed
'We will be taking applications for rent reimbursement, and then we'll tell you what you need to bring, give you a time that works for you, and then hopefully you'll be eligible for this payment,' executive director Jean Logan said.
The Community Action Agency of Siouxland can be reached at 712-274-1610. Applicants must provide one form of identification, proof of social security benefits and all household income.
