Iran Warns It Will Continue Military Operations if Israeli Hostilities Persist
Rabat – Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, also known as IRGC, said that the country's military operation will escalate if Israeli hostilities continue.
The Iranian Guard Corps issued a statement today, noting that they had targeted military fuel infrastructure in Israel.
This comes as a response to Israeli strikes on Iran on June 13.
Tel Aviv's attacks, including strikes against residential buildings in and near Tehran, killed military officials.
In response, Iran launched drone and missile attacks targeting Israel.
In a new update, Tehran announced the arrest of two Mossad operatives in Savojbolagh county, operating in a safe house.
Iran accused the agents of producing bombs, explosive materials, booby traps, and electronic equipment.
President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian has called for unity and coordination among Islamic countries as key to thwarting Israel's hostile plots.
He made his remarks during a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday, noting that Israel has shown 'it does not value human rights or international law.'
The Times of Israel reported the killing of at least six people, noting that another 100 were injured after an Iranian missile struck a building in the central city of Bat Yam on Saturday.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the Israeli Occupation Forces developed 'exceptional capabilities' in response to Iran's military operations.
'We have dealt with Iran's proxies over the past year and a half, but now we are dealing with the head of the snake itself,' Katz continues .
He said Iran is 'more determined than ever to realize its vision of destroying Israel.'
World leaders have reacted to the escalation, with division in opinion. While some support Iran, others back Israel's attacks.
China backed Iran, noting that it supports the country in safeguarding its national sovereignty and defending its legitimate rights and interests.
Qatar also condemned Israel's attack, noting that it was a blatant violation of Iran's sovereignty and security and a clear breach of the rules and principles of international law.
Saudi Arabia also condemned the ongoing attacks that undermine Iran's sovereignty.
The UK said it is alarmed by the strikes 'with reports of fatalities and injuries in Israel,' calling for de-escalation.
As for Germany, it has warned against further escalation, focusing on Iran's nuclear program.
It said that this program 'threatens not only Israel, but also Saudi Arabia and the broader stability of the region.
