Musa Khudair Wins Two Medals at World Weightlifting Championships

Iraqi weightlifter Musa Khudair Sobhi excelled in the World Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships, hosted by the Peruvian capital, Lima, winning two medals alongside some of the world's most prominent weightlifters.
Sobhi won the silver medal in the snatch and the bronze medal in the 89 kg clean and jerk, lifting 145 kg in the clean and jerk and 173 kg in the snatch, amidst the participation of some of the world's most prominent weightlifters.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), head of the Iraqi Weightlifting Federation, Mohammed Kazim Muzail, said, "Winning the silver and bronze medals by weightlifter Musa Khudair in the world championship, which was characterized by intense competition, represents an honorable addition to Iraqi sports and embodies the development of weightlifting on the international stage."
He added, "This achievement will be a great incentive for other Iraqi weightlifters to continue to shine and raise the Iraqi flag in international forums, with the ongoing support of the Iraqi Weightlifting Federation and the Iraqi National Olympic Committee."
