New exhibition dances into Adelaide
A new exhibition is set to open in Adelaide capturing the freedom and joy of dance. 'Dancer' – a National Portrait Gallery touring exhibition will be on display from at David Roche Gallery in North Adelaide from 7 June.
From letting loose in the lounge room to enthralling audiences on stage, this exhibition captures the experience of lives lived through dance. Drawn from the National Portrait Gallery collection, it incorporates 52 works of contemporary photographers and features, such dance legends as Irina Baronova, Robert Helpmann and Anna Pavlova, plus dancers from Adelaide's Restless Dance Theatre.
