Sauk Centre, Minnesota, teen with 'significant injuries' airlifted from crash
Mar. 11—MEIRE GROVE — A teenage driver suffered significant injuries after his vehicle went off road Sunday in Getty Township.
According to a news release from the
Isaac Hokanson, 16, of
was identified as the only occupant and driver of a 2005 Buick LeSabre that struck a field approach and vaulted 350 feet before coming to a rest in plowed field.
The Sheriff's Office said Hokanson was treated at the scene, then airlifted to a hospital in the Twin Cities for further treatment.
The crash was initially reported around 12:50 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Stearns County Road 29 and 375th Avenue in Getty Township. According to the news release, Hokanson was driving southbound on County Road 29 before the vehicle left the roadway.
The crash remains under investigation.
