One of Saturday Night Live's hottest new faces – Marcello Hernández – delighted viewers of the show's anniversary special on Sunday night when he performed an extended version of the viral Domingo sketch with Bad Bunny and Pedro Pascal. The rising star regularly uses his Latino roots to comic effect – including in his stand up, in which he often talks about his relationship to his Cuban mother. But despite being the subject of many of Hernández's jokes and skits, his mum Isabel Cancela gamely accompanied her son to the SNL50 event to celebrate the show's half a century on air – and they clearly share a close bond. 'I'm grateful, I'm very blessed and the best part is that my mum gets to come and see it all because she saw me from the very beginning,' he told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet.
