Swindon care home chefs to take part in charity cook-off
Two care home directors are competing in a charity cook-off.
Claire Brewer and Isabela Andriuca, from Barchester's Central Division, are taking part in the Barchester Charitable Foundation Cook Off 2025.
The duo, who work at White Lodge care home in Braydon, Swindon, will be competing against two regional directors from each of Barchester's four other divisions.
The aim is to raise funds for Barchester's Charitable Foundation, which supports vulnerable people and those living with disabilities.
Claire Brewer said: "Isabela and I are passionate about the Foundation so we both jumped at the chance to be able to raise funds and give back.
"We both love cooking, I am self-taught because I think it is so important for my kids to eat well."

"The pride of the division is at stake!"
The foundation distributes thousands of pounds each year to individuals, small community groups, and charities across England, Scotland, and Wales.
In 2024, it achieved a donation milestone of £335,000.
Ramona Gherendi, general manager of White Lodge care home, said: "We are all so proud of Claire and Isabela for taking part in this challenge."
