Lakeview softball punches ticket to state final 4
DALTON, Ohio (WKBN) – Lakeview topped Perry 4-1 in the Division IV Regional Final on Saturday at Dalton High School.
It is the Bulldogs' first softball regional title in program history.
Mackenzie Stowe went 2-4 with three RBI, including a home run for the Bulldogs in the victory.
Isabella Isenberg also drove in a run for Lakeview. She likewise picked up the victory in the circle, piling up seven strikeouts, allowing just one earned run.
Rosalyn Tharp went 3-3 in the loss for the Pirates. Madeline Infalvi went 1-2 with an RBI in the setback.
With the win, Lakeview improves to 22-4 overall on the season.
The Bulldogs advance to face Hillsboro in the Division IV State Semifinals on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Firestone Stadium in Akron.
Perry's season comes to an end with a record of 21-9.
