HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Chairs Tamkeen's Q2 Board Meeting His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), chaired Tamkeen's second quarterly Board of Directors Meeting for 2025. The meeting reviewed Tamkeen's achievements during the first half of the year and outlined strategic priorities for the remainder of 2025. Updates were also shared on the progress of Tamkeen's core support pillars: Employment Support, Career Development Support, and Enterprise Support. Empowering Bahrainis for a Future-Ready Workforce HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasized the importance of continued investment in Bahraini talent to build a skilled and competitive national workforce. He reaffirmed the commitment to create more opportunities for Bahrainis to develop their skills and thrive in various sectors, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He stressed the need for targeted initiatives that position Bahrainis as the top choice in the labour market, with a strong focus on preparing them for future jobs, particularly in fields requiring technical expertise and artificial intelligence. Support for SMEs and Technological Transformation In line with national efforts to promote innovation and competitiveness, HH Shaikh Isa issued directives to launch new programmes that enable Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to adopt advanced technologies, drive business growth, and enhance productivity. These directives complement an earlier initiative to train 50,000 Bahrainis in artificial intelligence, announced during the previous board meeting, as part of a broader digital transformation strategy. Over 7,700 Bahrainis Supported in the First Half of 2025 Tamkeen Chief Executive Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez presented a comprehensive report on the fund's progress in the first half of the year. Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the launch ceremony of the annual Toastmasters Conference for Sector 20, 'DTAC 2025,' held yesterday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bahrain. The conference, themed 'Echoes of Excellence,' is being organised in collaboration with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Iraq. It represents a significant regional effort to foster leadership and public speaking skills among youth in both Arabic and English. The event commenced with the playing of the national anthem, followed by a short film highlighting the growth and impact of the Toastmasters movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In his remarks, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah affirmed that hosting DTAC 2025 reflects Bahrain's ongoing commitment to nurturing young leaders. Chairing the Trust's Board of Trustees meeting at Riffa Palace on Wednesday, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the critical role of quality education in supporting national development, aligning with the comprehensive vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also highlighted the importance of enhancing the quality of services provided to both citizens and enterprises. Chaired by His Highness, Tamkeen's Q1 2025 Board of Directors meeting reviewed the organization's key achievements for the first quarter and its strategic priorities for the year ahead. Developments on ongoing support initiatives were discussed, centered around Tamkeen's three core pillars: Employment Support, Career Development Support, and Enterprise Support. Among the key directives issued during the meeting was the launch of the largest-ever AI training package, which aims to upskill 50,000 Bahrainis in Artificial Intelligence by 2030. The initiative will offer training across three specialized tracks. Firstly, AI Skills for Executive Leadership – equipping leaders to effectively implement AI solutions in their organisations. Secondly, General AI Skills – enabling broader use of AI tools for task automation, data analysis, and productivity improvement. Thirdly, Specialized AI Training – preparing Bahrainis for advanced technical roles through in-depth training in AI development.

His Highness affirmed the strong cooperation and joint coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom across various fields, particularly in the military and defense sectors. His Highness emphasised that this collaboration reflects the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, HE Alistair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Commodore Ben Aldous, Commander of the UK Maritime Component Command ME, and many senior officers from the Bahrain Defence Force and members of the British Naval Support Facility. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman affirmed that Bahrain-UK relations continue to develop across all levels, driven by the distinguished strategic partnership and the mutual commitment of the leaderships of both Kingdoms to further strengthen them. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman congratulated those present on the inauguration and wished the facility and all its members success. His Highness affirmed the pivotal role of the United Kingdom, alongside its allies, in enhancing security, stability, and peace both in the region and globally. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two Kingdoms to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
