Over 2,000 ex-GISBH members undergo rehab programme
Children associated with GISBH were put into a faith rehabilitation programme from September to December last year.
SHAH ALAM : A total of 2,474 former members of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd are undergoing a rehabilitation initiative run by the Selangor Islamic religious council.
The participants comprise 1,064 adults and 1,410 children, the council said. The programme began on Feb 15 and will continue until August.
The Insan Rabbani Programme is among rehabilitation efforts of the council to restore the faith (akidah) of former members of GISBH, which has been described as propagating 'deviant' Islamic teachings.
The state religious body had also implemented a rehabilitation programme for children associated with GISBH from September to December last year.
