One killed in Mentor head-on crash
MENTOR, Ohio (WJW) – The Mentor Police Department is investigating a deadly head-on collision that happened in the city.
Police responded near the intersection of Heisley Rd and Tyler Blvd before 5 p.m. Monday.
911 call: Postal worker reports attack at Cleveland post office
According to a press release, a Hyundai Sonata headed northbound on Heisley Road went left of center and hit another car head-on.
The driver of the Sonata was killed.
He was identified as Ismael Rivera, 30, of Painesville.
Carjacking leads to chase and crash
The Mentor Fire Department pronounced Rivera dead at the scene, according to a press release.
A passenger in the Sonata was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, as was the driver of the other vehicle.
Police say the accident remains under investigation.
