Schenker to MTV: This Is What Ortagus Will Say, and Normalization Will Happen in Due Time!
David Schenker, former US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle Eastern Affairs, revealed that US Deputy Special Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus will express surprise at the efforts of the Lebanese security forces but will stress that they must do more. He added, "It is also important for the Lebanese government to tell Ortagus that Saudi Arabia and Qatar should assist with funding the salaries of the security forces to enable them to carry out their work." In an interview on MTV's It's About Time (Sar El Waet) program, Schenker explained that "the work must continue until Resolution 1559 is implemented across all of Lebanon, not just south of the Litani River. While the ceasefire has held despite the crisis, Lebanon must persist in its efforts to disarm Hezbollah." He emphasized that "peace is always beneficial, and Lebanon will gain from it, but other necessary steps must be taken before that." Schenker further noted that "Lebanon and Israel must finalize their border demarcation and resolve the Shebaa Farms issue with Syria before talks on normalization can proceed." He added: "It is clear that a confrontation will be necessary to implement the agreement, but Lebanon must seize the opportunity to build a state, rather than remaining an Iranian militia. There is a clear difference between the US and France on Lebanon, as demonstrated by France's attempt to impose an economic rescue plan without the necessary reforms."

Jonas Brothers to host event at American Dream in March, what to know about JonasCon
To celebrate their 20th anniversary the Jonas Brothers have announced JonasCon, a one-of-a-kind fan experience that will take place at American Dream in March. "In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Jonas Brothers are pleased to announce JonasCon, a special one-day event taking place in their home state of New Jersey," said the official announcement on Friday. "This milestone event will feature live performances, DJ sets, Q&A panels, fan activations, pop-up surprises, immersive experiences, and special guest appearances to celebrate the band's incredible two decades." According to a post on the Jonas Brothers Instagram page, some of the featured activities will include a Jonas trading post, Camp Rock bar, Jonas Pizza, karaoke and so much more with several features of the event having yet to be revealed. This announcement comes one day after Wyckoff natives Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas thanked their fans for the last 20 years and teased a lineup of exciting plans for the upcoming year. "It's been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family minivan with a couple of guitars and copies of 'It's About Time' CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen," the band wrote in a letter posted to their social media accounts. "In the years that followed, you've given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories." The letter goes on to describe a number of plans that the band has for the upcoming year from new music to solo music, a live concert album and more. "Expect a lot more announcements over the coming days and weeks," said the letter. "From the bottom of our hearts: thank you. Here's to the next 20 years, and here's to doing it together."
