Gigi Rigolatto serves serious holiday vibes with a side of Italian flavours
One of the best things about Dubai? You can stumble upon places that feel like you've been whisked off to a whole other country. Case in point: Gigi Rigolatto.
This dreamy Italian-Mediterranean restaurant is perfect for days when you want to feel sand between your toes, the warm sun on your face and plate after plate of gorgeous food.
And it's perched right by that stretch of coastline on the hottest new destination in the city, J1 Beach.
There's so much you can do here – lunch, pool dips, dinners under the stars and a drink or two at Bellini bar when the mood strikes.
Jet-setters will be familiar with Gigi's iconic outposts in Paris and Saint Tropez, so you already know what to expect.
The main restaurant, open daily from noon to 1am, serves up seasonal dishes inspired by regions from Tuscany to Puglia.
The food, the lush greenery and the gentle hum of live music in the background…it's a vibe that'll have you coming back for more.
The outdoor garden-style seating makes it easy to settle in for the afternoon, and if you've got little ones in tow, they'll be more than occupied at Gigi Circus, the dedicated kids' club that runs every day from noon to 6pm.
If you're not in the mood to eat (though it won't be easy to resist), the pool and private beach are open from 10am until sunset daily, with loungers that let you alternate between lounging, dipping and sipping.
Feeling the tingle of shopping? There's a concept store on site open from 10am to 10pm, with handpicked bits and bobs that might just end up coming home with you.
If you're after Italian Med vibes in Dubai, a space to switch off (but maybe not the 'gram), then Gigi Rigolatto might be your kind of place.
