Taylor Swift and Dakota Johnson Do Girls Night the Swiftie Way

It's a week for celebrations in camp Swift, as Taylor Swift was able to buy back the rights to her first six albums, a final end to her years-long battle to own her own music. How else could the pop star celebrate, but in true Swiftian 'Style.' Following the Taylor Swift book of girl's night out-dom, the musician headed out in New York City with friend and actor Dakota Johnson. They were joined later by Swift's brother Austin, and Johnson's brother Jesse, to head to Swift's favorite Italian restaurant and celebrity bolthole Via Carota. Photo: Swift opted for a look that fits with her feminine aesthetic and love of accessories: A flirty floral fit and flare tea dress by the all-American girl-loving Dôen, to which she added a thick black, gold-chained belt. She wore a pair of strappy black and red-bottomed Christian Louboutin stilettos, and carried a Balmain black and gold bag. Swift finished the look with layers of gold necklaces, gold drop earrings, and gold bracelets on each wrist. For glam, she wore her signature long blonde hair back in a ponytail and a full set of bangs, with a slick cat eye, and red lip and matching manicure to also match her heels and the rose details in her dress. Johnson, meanwhile went for a slinky black dress with a cropped black leather jacket and sheer black kitten heels. The journey from private car to Via Carota has become something of a runway for Swift, often photographed dining there with girlfriends (like Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, and Gigi Hadid) and partner Travis Kelce. You'll catch her slipping into her usual red mini-dresses, plaid skirt suits, leathers and denim, and fairy-esque tulle skirts to grab some pasta and Tuscan cuisine at the West Village spot. Backgrid While sightings of Swift have been more rare in recent months, she and Kelce were spotted at Harry's in West Palm Beach, Florida, having a meal, and before that celebrating Mother's Day with Kelce's family in Philadelphia earlier on in the month. Since the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl loss in February and Swift's wrap-up of her mammoth Eras Tour at the end of last year, they've kept things low-key. But likely, the couple will be toasting her masters win somewhere.

I suffer from OCD. Most people think it's just about being obsessively clean... but this is the shocking truth about how it almost destroyed my sex life: SARA-LOUISE ACKRILL

A perfect summer's evening, one I'd been looking forward to for weeks. There'd been a romantic meal at an Italian restaurant where my date had been just the right side of attentive, filling my glass and helping me with my coat. Asking me intelligent questions about myself and listening to my answers. He'd held my gaze for a thrilling extra beat as we got the bill, then took my hand as we walked to the taxi rank.

103 Thoughts I Had While Watching Netflix's ‘Nonnas'

Nonnas is a very special movie for me. In addition to currently being the number-one film on Netflix, it also stars Vince Vaughn, the only man in history that both my mother and I have mutually crushed on. Granted, our infatuation dates to Wedding Crashers more than to his present-day deal, but I'm still glad to see him in this movie about a man who opens an Italian restaurant with a bunch of nonnas—a.k.a. Italian grandmothers—as chefs, played by a veritable murderer's row of MILFs (or GILFs?): Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, and Susan Sarandon. Let's dive in, shall we?

La Porchetta's Rathdowne St, Carlton, birthplace for sale almost forty years after it opened

Carlton's birthplace of the La Porchetta Italian restaurant has been served up for sale with a $6m-$6.6m asking price. Founded by Rocco 'Rocky' Pantaleo and Felice Nania in 1985, the restaurant became a Melbourne institution and turned into a pizza empire with dozens of franchises across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. It continued to operate for more than a decade after the passing of Mr Pantaleo in 2010, but closed its doors in February last year — almost forty years after he and Mr Nania began serving pizzas from it. At the time the family's posted on social media saying they had been proud to help establish a Melbourne institution and setting the standard for Italian restaurant franchises in Australia, but noted that it was now time 'for the family to move on to new beginnings and pursue new ventures'. During that time, the restaurant expanded to cover four neighbouring buildings from 388 to 394 Rathdowne St, making it one of the largest single holdings in the popular northern-suburbs shopping village. Nelson Alexander's Damien Theisz is handling the sale on behalf of the two families who still own the expansive property and said it was the largest combined holding he was aware of ever having been listed. 'I'm not aware of any other like this,' Mr Theisz said. 'And just walking through it, seeing all the photos on the walls, it was just unbelievable. 'It's a piece of Melbourne history. And I hate to think about how many pizzas would have gone through that oven.' With 20 metres of frontage to Rathdowne St, and spanning 515sq m, Mr Theisz said while he wasn't ruling out interest from restaurant and retail groups, with the prospect it could also be rented out for $320,000-$340,000 a year, he had already talked to small and medium development firms about the site. There are heritage protections in place for parts of it, but pending council approvals he said it was likely any buyer would be considering the possibility of developing upwards in the future given the size of the site. Mr Theisz added that if the eventual buyer wanted the building's owning families might well be open to seeing if they could get one more pizza out of its ovens. 'I'm sure the vendors could work something out and crank up the pizza oven for one more time,' he said. Expressions of interest for the properties close at 3pm on June 4. La Porchetta still has restaurants serving in a number of locations including South Yarra and Footscray.
