Ex Aresenal & Man United Veteran To Return To Lineup For Inter Milan Vs Lazio Serie A Clash – Iran & France Internationals Lead The Line Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Thuram, and Mehdi Taremi will all start for Inter Milan in today's Serie A clash with Lazio. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement Inter Milan take on Lazio in Serie A this evening. The Nerazzurri will know full well that three points are absolutely necessary to keep the pressure on Napoli going into the final day of the season, and capitalize on any potential slip-ups by the league leaders. Meanwhile, the Biancocelesti will be desperate for a result as well. They are still very much in the hunt for a Champions League spot after last Saturday's draw with Juventus. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will undoubtedly have one eye on the Champions League final at the end of the month. However, the Nerazzurri coach is hardly just going to rotate his squad this evening. Particularly after having had a full week of rest, it will be a strong Inter starting eleven. He picked up a thigh strain during Inter's Champions League semifinal second leg win over Barcelona. That injury saw Mkhitaryan miss out on last weekend's Serie A clash with Torino. However, reports the Gazzetta, Mkhitaryan has returned to fitness. Moreover, the former Arsenal and Manchester United midfielder's return has been swifter than expected. Therefore, Mkhitaryan will start this evening's match, reports the Gazzetta. Initially it had seemed probable that Piotr Zielinski would be in the Inter starting eleven. However, the Gazzetta anticipate, Mkhitaryan will slot straight back into the team. Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports, Mehdi Taremi will keep his place in the starting eleven.

After an impressive showing against Barcelona in the second leg, he drew a crucial penalty against Torino last weekend. In doing so, Taremi has leapfrogged Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa in the pecking order. Now that Lautaro Martinez is out of the squad, he will join forces with Marcus Thuram in attack. Indeed, they should lead the line in a must-win clash against Lazio on Sunday.

Defender Yann Bisseck is facing accusations of making a blasphemous outburst during yesterday's Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Roma. Italian outlet report that the 24-year-old won't likely face sanctions at the moment, however, due to the lack of audio recording. Advertisement Inter Milan fell to a painful 0-1 defeat to Roma yesterday evening in Serie A. Yann Bisseck came onto the pitch for the Nerazzurri early in the first half. (Photo by) And in the second half of yesterday's match, Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck couldn't contain his frustration. The Gazzetta note that the German international vented his feelings verbally right around the hour mark. The newspaper report that some fans spotted the use of blasphemous phrases by Bisseck in the 63rd minute. Advertisement Language of this type is punishable in Italian football. Players can receive sanctions – and even suspensions – for the use of offending phrases. Inter captain Lautaro Martinez had faced allegations of blasphemous language after Inter's loss to Juventus in February. However, the Argentine eventually reached a settlement with the Italian FA. According to the Gazzetta, it would be hard to see Bisseck receiving a suspension as things stand. Whilst lip-reading appears to show the use of blasphemous language, there is no audio of the incident. Therefore, without clear audio, there would be no suspension.

Inter's three priorities for 2025 summer transfer window revealed
Inter have reportedly prioritised signing a centre forward, one wing-back and one central defender in the 2025 summer transfer window. The Nerazzurri are preparing for a busy end to the season as, despite a recent Coppa Italia exit, they are still running for the Serie A title and the Champions League. Advertisement Club directors and President Beppe Marotta, however, are already working behind the scenes to strengthen the team for next season. As reported by coach Simone Inzaghi and club executives have already identified areas that need upgrading in the coming season. Inter's three priorities for 2025 summer transfer window revealed Mehdi Taremi of FC Internazionale celebrates scoring his team's second goal during the Italian Super Cup Final between FC Internazionale and AC Milan at Kingdom Arena on January 06, 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. (Photo by) According to the report, Inter will be looking for a centre-forward, a winger, who will play as a right wing-back and a central defender. The defending Serie A champions will try to sign two centre forwards if the disappointing Mehdi Taremi leaves. The Iran international moved to San Siro on a free transfer last summer, but has only netted three times in 37 appearances across all competitions. Read more – What happens with Inzaghi extension if Inter finish 2024-25 without trophies According to the report, Taremi is not considering leaving Inter in the summer, especially because his € 3.5 m-a-year deal runs out in 2027. However, the Nerazzurri are open to offers and would be more than happy to replace the 32-year-old with another striker in 2025-26. As for the wing-back position, Marseille star Luis Henrique is at the top of Inter's shopping list. However, while the player has reportedly agreed terms with the Serie A giants, Inter are negotiating a lower transfer fee with Marseille, as they are unwilling to pay €30m for the Brazilian.
