District administration maintains high alert despite Indo-Pak truce
Nagpur: District collector Vipin Itankar confirmed on Sunday that while the situation returned to normal and all planned drills were called off for the time being, the administration remains on high alert and fully prepared for any district administration earlier convened a high-level coordination meeting with all departments, including the police, RTO, and healthcare.
The meeting was held ahead of the now-announced ceasefire, prompting questions about whether the precautionary measures would still be Itankar, speaking to TOI, clarified that despite the temporary calm, all departments have been instructed to remain fully prepared in accordance with guidelines from the central and state govts. "We issued all necessary directives to the concerned departments," he added that a comprehensive meeting was conducted on Saturday with key officials to align the response strategy and ensure operational readiness across departments. "The situation is currently stable, but we are alert and ready. All departments are on standby, and if any situation arises, we are fully equipped to carry out drills and implement emergency measures as required," he normalcy prevails, the administration continues to prioritise vigilance and proactive readiness to respond swiftly to any developments.
