Kota Kinabalu: Universiti Malaysia Sabah's (UMS) Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy are looking into the possibility of exploring strategic partnerships with the Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) to strengthen academia-industry collaboration. This was expressed during a courtesy visit by the UMS delegation, led by Head of Entrepreneurship Research and Development Dr. Izaan Jamil and senior academics Dr. Lim Thien Sang, Dr. Borhan Abdullah and Dr. Andi Tamsang, among others. They were warmly received by SCCC leadership including Vice President KJ Tan and Women Entrepreneur Chairlady Tan Siew Ling. Key discussion points focused on establishing the proposed SCCC-UMS Academic Chair, enhancing entrepreneurship development programs and strengthening joint research initiatives. 'We are honoured to engage with UMS in building meaningful partnerships that not only benefit students and entrepreneurs but also contribute to the broader economic and social development of Sabah,' said SCCC President Datuk Frankie Liew. He pointed out the importance of nurturing future-ready graduates and supporting innovative initiatives that drive sustainable economic growth in the State.
