VAINCRE L'AUTISME Maroc launches campaigns to advocate for children with autism
VAINCRE L'AUTISME Maroc has launched three major campaigns running from April 30 to June 30, 2025, aimed at raising awareness and defending the rights of children with autism. The announcement comes at the conclusion of Autism Month, as the organization seeks to make autism a national priority.
According to the organization's 2025 report titled «L'autisme délaissé» (Abandoned Autism), the current situation in Morocco is concerning. It highlights government inaction, societal indifference to family suffering, persistent intolerance in schools, and a lack of early diagnosis and tailored educational solutions.
The three initiatives include «AUTISTES ET CAPABLES!» a media campaign to change perceptions of autism; «JE MÉRITE UNE CHANCE», an international petition demanding effective public policies for autism; and «J'AGIS POUR L'AVENIR DE MON ENFANT», a national survey to gather families' voices and develop appropriate responses.
M'Hammed SAJIDI, Founding President of VAINCRE L'AUTISME Maroc, stated: «We can no longer close our eyes to the exclusion of autistic children. It is urgent to act, collectively, to guarantee them a dignified future in Morocco».
The organization calls on civil society, public and private institutions, and Moroccans living abroad to join this movement for a more inclusive society.
