Tennessee Titans' JC Latham named to PFF's All-Breakout Team for 2025
The Tennessee Titans are banking on a big year from offensive tackle JC Latham as he enters his second season. Despite spending his first NFL campaign holding down the left side of the offensive line, it's expected that Latham will switch back over to right tackle with the arrival of Dan Moore Jr., who was signed to a four-year deal worth $82 million this offseason. Latham had a solid rookie campaign working at the blindside spot for the Titans despite the overall inefficiencies on the offensive side of the ball. Going into his second season, Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus believes Latham is primed for a breakout season. After a 2024 first round that witnessed the selection of seven true tackles, that tantalizing talent didn't immediately pay off: Only Joe Alt finished with an overall PFF grade above 66.5 in his first season. Still, the odds are high that multiple other members of that second-year tackle crop will make leaps in 2025, and Latham has to be a foremost candidate. In his first season with the Titans, Latham finished with a 61.8 overall PFF grade, but his pass protection was more solid to the tune of a 67.8 PFF pass-blocking grade. Considering that Latham was playing out of position at left tackle and along a unit that finished 30th in overall PFF grade, it hedges the results of his rookie campaign. The Alabama product played the fourth-most snaps at left tackle during the 2024 season, allowing seven sacks and 47 total pressures. Considering what the Titans had to work with under center last season, the left tackle job was never going to be an easy one. With Cam Ward now taking the reins as the franchise quarterback, a breakout campaign from Latham at right tackle would be a major boost for the Titans offense.

Tennessee Titans' JC Latham 'ready to roll' at right tackle in 2025
Tennessee Titans' JC Latham 'ready to roll' at right tackle in 2025 When the Tennessee Titans signed offensive tackle Dan Moore and guard Kevin Zeitler at the start of the NFL's free agency period, it was a signal that massive changes were on the way for 2025 along the offensive line. Not only are there going to be new faces, but some starters would be in different places, specifically 2024 first-round pick JC Latham, who will be moving back to right tackle. The move is something that the coaching staff and Latham had already discussed before signing Moore. Speaking with the media at the NFL Owners Meetings, head coach Brian Callahan spoke about the process and how Latham has reacted to the news. 'We talked to him about it, really, right before we signed Dan that there would be potential for this to happen,' Callahan said. 'It was not about JC not being good enough at left tackle; it was how do we get the two best tackles we can find. Latham was a star right tackle during his career at Alabama, which led to the Titans selecting him seventh overall during the 2024 NFL draft. With this move, he can get back to where he is most comfortable and vastly improve what was a giant hole in the Titans' offense in 2024. How does Latham feel about the move? According to Callahan, he is 'ready to roll' in 2025.

Tennessee Titans' JC Latham likely moving to right tackle after Dan Moore addition
Tennessee Titans' JC Latham likely moving to right tackle after Dan Moore addition The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Dan Moore on a four-year deal that may have a ripple effect along the offensive line. Moore has played his entire career in Pittsburgh as a left tackle and has taken zero snaps at right tackle. The move likely means 2024 first-round pick JC Latham will move back to right tackle. This was a move that head coach Brian Callahan hinted at at the NFL Scouting Combine. Moore has been a solid offensive lineman throughout his career with the Steelers, starting every game at left tackle since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft. Latham played his entire college career as a right tackle and should be able to make a smooth transition back to the right side. Rebuilding the offensive line has been a point of emphasis for new general manager Mike Borgonzi, who has mentioned fixing the trenches consistently throughout the offseason since being hired. Moore appears to be the first step in making that happen. The agreement will not become official until the official opening of the free-agent window on Wednesday, March 12.
