‘Gotong-royong' at Kpg Jepak Muslim cemetery brings communities closer
The 'gotong-royong' to clean up the Muslim cemetery in progress.
BINTULU (May 5): Villagers from around Jepak Hulu, Sebuan Besar and Sebuan Kecil came together for a 'gotong-royong' (work party) to clean up the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Jepak yesterday.
The programme saw active participation from various parties, including the village security and development committees (JKKKs) from nearby villages, who aimed to ensure the cemetery remained clean and well-maintained.
Village chief Torny Chan, who served as the main coordinator, expressed his appreciation to all those who attended and contributed their time and resources to making the programme a success.
JKKK Jepak Tengah was entrusted with managing food and beverages for the participants, while JKKK Sungai Sebuan Besar took charge of equipment and logistics.
Also lending their support were the JKKKs from Kampung Tani and Semadang Jaya, who actively participated in the cleaning efforts.
