Celebration of life for late Bentonville HS principal scheduled
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A celebration of life for Bentonville High School Principal Jack Loyd is set for April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Arend Arts Center.
Attendees are encouraged to wear BHS apparel or black and gold to honor his legacy, according to a Facebook post by Bentonville Schools.
Loyd passed away on the night of March 20 following an undisclosed illness.
The district said in a separate statement on Facebook that his wife and children established the Jack Loyd Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to deserving High School seniors who want to enroll in college or a career preparatory school.
